Each year in March, the Australian Grand Prix is held at Albert Park Lake in South Melbourne -which happens to be only a few hundred meters from my office. One of the highlights of the Grand Prix is the aerial show put on by the Australian Air Force aerobatic team, the Roulettes. Here's the view I got from the rear car park at work :)

During March, we took a trip to J-Ward at Ararat. J-Ward was opened in 1859 and closed in 1991 - this was a prison for the criminally insane!
Here's a few photos :)

In late 2012, Jetstar were offering $29 airfares to Sydney. We hadn't been to Sydney for a few years and figured it was about time to go again! Tickets were bought and the dates entered into the calendar.
We left Melbourne from Avalon on a 6am flight - while this in itself isn't too bad, the airport is an hour from home and we needed to be there 30 min before departure. The alarm clock was set for 3am...
First day there was sightseeing. We took a drive around Sydney, across the bridge and out to Manly.
Despite the haze, the view from Vaucluse was fantastic!

Each year for the last few years, Reddit has had a Secret Santa gift exchange. This is my first year in, and here's what I received from my mystery gifter!
How neat is that! A nanoblock shuttle!! A big thank-you to the person who took the time to see what I was into :) There's a couple more photos on Flickr.
